Welcome to our first ever Blog!! We thought we would use this opportunity to share our Annukka journey and the passions that influence us. We are, in a nutshell all about a holistic and healthy lifestyle. More specifically and as you’re aware we love Organic Cotton. The numerous health and environment benefits of organic cotton are at the essence of what our Annukka vision is about.
The fact that regular cotton takes up 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land but uses 16% of the world’s insecticides. More than any other single crop. This was one of the first facts we took on at the begin of our journey. This floored us really. Spurred us into action and we created Annukka. We are also very fortunate in that we live in Byron Bay. We love everything about the place.
It’s simply paradise. It has an aura that resonates in you on different levels. We have been here over a decade and it’s now a rich deep love. We are besotted. If it’s not the breathtaking hinterland it’s the majestic seascapes that keep you simply grounded and grateful. I sincerely believe this is a significant reason why artisans and people of all walks of life have been transfixed by this place for decades. It awakens you. I certainly don’t want to sound like crazed travelling evangelist but Byron does transcend a clean and defined message.. that we all need to have the environment at the forefront of our minds. Therefore Byron Bay is very much at the heart of our mantra and moral compass. Then there’s the surf...We are surfers and are defined heavily on our love and connection with the ocean. We feel there is a kinda cool symmetry that we enjoy with the surf and Annukka. We thank you for your interest and look forward to sharing our journey with you Jeff and Nic xx
